Cassidy’s Pub & Restaurant

Carron, North Clare

Restaurants

Perched on the Burren mountains, Cassidy’s of Carron have been catering for people for over 200 years. They are renowned for freshly prepared quality food and local specialities.

Their dining room overlooks Europe’s largest turlough (disappearing lake) and enjoys sweeping views of the famous Burren landscape.

They pride themselves on providing a diverse menu – from their shorthorn burgers to their stone-baked pizzas and delicious homemade desserts. Everyone will find something they enjoy! All dietary requirements and allergies are catered for.

The beef they use is Shorthorn, a traditional Irish breed, reared on their own farm. The award-winning Burren goat burger, unique to Cassidy’s, is very popular among locals and tourists alike.

Situated just off the Wild Atlantic Way, they also include seafood on their menu, with fresh fish delivered daily. Their constantly changing daily specials are dictated by the catch of the day. Their renowned fish and seafood pie, filled to the brim with a variety of fresh seafood, is guaranteed to satisfy all seafood enthusiasts.

Cassidy’s Pub & Restaurant is also an ideal location for a destination wedding. It’s an opportunity to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and experience an intimate reception with your guests in one of Ireland’s oldest family-run establishments.

Drive along the winding roads Ireland is so famous for. Pass traditional architecture, castle ruins and ancient churches to discover Cassidy’s tucked away in the mountains.

The old pub is steeped in character and history due to its colourful origins as a police barracks. Gather around the open fireplace with subtle scents of earthy Irish turf while you enjoy your champagne reception and canapés. Walk through the restaurant, where the floor to ceiling windows fill the space with natural light, complementing the wood furnishings and sublime views of the Burren, like no other venue in Ireland.

The sculpted gardens reflect the natural surroundings, where grey limestone contrasts beautifully with clusters of vibrant flowers and green meadows.

The perfect setting for spectacular wedding photos.
