Burren Slow Food Festival
Lisdoonvarna, Co. Clare

A day out for foodies – cookery demos, seafood talks & tastings, farmers market and yoga classes all day.
Held for the first time 20 years ago and every year since in Lisdoonvarna, the Burren Slow Food Festival provides a wonderful day for lovers of food and wellness. On the farmers market, you can browse locally produced foods and crafts. Cookery demos from renowned chefs like Executive Chef Liam Finnegan from Ashford Castle and Jonathan Keane from The Lodge at Ashford Castle will be sharing their skills and knowledge, as will Peter Jackson from the Roadside Tavern.
For oyster lovers, different growers will talk about their unique kinds of oysters, and a tasting will ensure that you can appreciate the flavour of each one.
Throughout the day, yoga teachers from the area will offer a wide variety of yoga, acupuncture and sound bath classes – all for only €10!
Of course it wouldn’t be a food festival if there weren’t food available to eat on the spot. The Burren Display Centre tea room will set up a pop-up café at the festival in the Pavilion. There will also be other food offerings on the day. Nobody will go home hungry!
On Saturday 10th May, the annual Burren Slow Food Banquet will take place. Secure your ticket now!
Admission to the festival is free. Events during the festival weekend may incur a charge.
