Kris and Ireen guarantee a warm welcome at Slieve Elva B&B, charming accommodation within the Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark.
They describe their B&B as a “Home from Home” experience where guests have the chance to step back to a quieter place and time, get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life, and explore the beautiful Burren and the nearby Wild Atlantic Way.
Their B&B is in the rural countryside around Slieve Elva hill, 3km outside of Lisdoonvarna town, which has plenty of pubs, restaurants, and live music daily during the summer.
Their ensuite bedrooms are basic, clean, and with little touches to create a homely feeling. All rooms offer tea and coffee facilities, a flat-screen television, radio-alarm clocks, and free Wi-Fi. At any time, guests can unwind in the cosy lounge while reading a book from their library, playing a board game, playing music, having a great talk, or simply relaxing.
Breakfast in the conservatory dining room is a vital part of staying at Slieve Elva B&B. They pride themselves on their fresh, locally sourced cooking. Their breakfast menu offers a variety of choices, with the option to cater for dietary needs like coeliac, lactose intolerance, and vegetarian. Delicious homemade goods accompany their breakfast, such as bread, cakes, scones, granola, yoghurt, and several jams and spreads. They aim to grant all their guests an unhurried and fulfilled start to their day.
Through the years, they built up some excellent tourist information which they gladly share. In addition, they are happy to help out with itinerary plans so their guests can make the most of their visit to the Burren and some of the well-hidden magical spots in Clare. They will do everything they can to make it a memorable stay.
At Slieve Elva B&B, they recognise their responsibility to respect the natural environment and are committed to achieving environmental best practices where possible. They are proud to be members of Sustainable Travel Ireland and The Burren Ecotourism Network. They continually seek ways to conserve and protect natural resources and minimise wastage of raw materials and energy while providing a consistent and quality product and service to their guests. They also conduct internal environmental reviews and annually assess their progress towards improved environmental performance.
