A unique, award winning garden in the heart of the Burren.
This stunning, unique, two acre garden is a horticultural paradise set in the beautiful Caher Valley. World renowned, it has been featured in numerous books, magazines and on radio and TV.
Begun in 1999 from what was once dense hazel and blackthorn woodland, it has been designed to specifically blend both aesthetically and ecologically into the surrounding landscape. It features a vast collection of plants with many rarities and notable collections of numerous species.
Recently described internationally as one of the seven most creative gardens in Europe, it seamlessly blends nature, horticulture, architecture and landscape to create it’s unique and fascinating character.
The ever present limestone is the ‘backbone’ of the garden and has been used creatively to build terraces, walls and unusual features which divide the garden into a series of individual rooms.
There are ponds, a river, quirky water features, woodland, wild flower areas and bulb meadows all of which are providing a haven for the various local wildlife.
