Event Information
Saturday, 24th May to Monday, 2nd June, 2025

Ennis, Fleadh Nua is an exciting festival, with concerts, céilis, music & singing sessions, recitals, Irish dance competitions and street entertainment.

Since 1974 the town of Ennis has been home to Fleadh Nua-The Fleadh Down In Ennis, a unique annual festival of Irish Traditional Music, Song and Dance.

The vote of confidence shown by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann in the capacity and ability of the market town of Ennis and the local organising committee to host an event of such significance has since proven to be a masterstroke. It is impossible to overstate the cultural, social and economic dividends which have accrued not just to Ennis but to Comhaltas generally in the fifty years since its arrival in the town.

Starting off as a weekend festival, Fleadh Nua has developed into a 10 day showcase of the very best of our Traditional Music, Song, Dance, Storytelling agusTeanga ársa na nGael. With the emphasis placed firmly on entertainment rather than competition, the festival has become synonymous with imagination, innovation and participation.

Our published programme which will be available on line will be full to the brim with activities, from Céilís, sessions, lectures, books and CD launches, Irish language events, reed making workshops, singing, set dancing workshop, pub sessions and an expanded street entertainment programme.
Bí linn at Fleadh Nua-The Fleadh Down in Ennis May 24th to June 2nd 2025.
