Summer Festival at Vandeleur Walled Garden

Kilrush will come alive once more as the Summer Festival returns for its third year to Vandeleur Walled Garden, taking place from Friday, 26 June to Sunday, 28 June 2026. Set in the gorgeous surrounds of the walled garden itself, the festival programme is jam-packed with music, comedy, dancing, and fun for all ages.
Joining the lineup for the first time will be internationally renowned artist, fresh from his Dancing with the Stars debut, Brian Kennedy. Due to popular demand, the award-winning and renowned Kilfenora Céilí Band, and beloved Kerry comedian Bernard Casey will return for a second year to the marquee. Alongside these headlining musical acts, there will also be two showings of an entertaining and educational children’s production, Bee-ology, hosted by Bumble Movement Arts on the Saturday afternoon.
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for festivalgoers, a park and ride service will operate between Kilrush town centre and the festival venue each evening.

Brian Kennedy is one of Ireland’s most inspired and revered ambassadors of music. He is not only a prolific songwriter but a master interpreter of lyrics as well, and audiences around the world continue to praise his exceptional vocal talents. Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, the multi-platinum recording artist remains one of Ireland’s most popular singing stars. We are looking forward to welcoming Brian to Kilrush for his inaugural Co Clare performance!
Saturday, 27 June – Kilfenora Céilí Band (evening | 19:30)
Hailing from Kilfenora, County Clare, the Kilfenora Céilí Band is Ireland’s oldest Céilí Band, founded in 1909.We are delighted to welcome them back to Kilrush for an exhilarating blend of traditional Irish music, song, and more with one of Ireland’s most renowned traditional music groups.
Saturday, 27 June – Bee-ology Interactive Circus Show with Poppy (afternoon | 13:30 & 15:00)
Interweaving juggling, storytelling, dance, puppetry and a love of all things living, Bee-ology is a funny, heart-warming and interactive Circus show for young people and their hives. Poppy is a professional juggler, amateur scientist and insect enthusiast. Her lush garden is buzzing with the exciting secrets and stories of bees… but she needs your help to find them!
Sunday, 28 June – Comedian Bernard Casey (evening | 19:30)
Hailing from County Kerry, Bernard Casey has sold out shows at INEC, Vicar Street, and The Everyman Theatre Cork, as well as venues in London, New York, and Boston! With over 15 million views on his online comedy sketches, Bernard’s sharp wit, voice work, and relatable humour have won over audiences at home and abroad. Last year’s show in the marquee was a laugh-a-minute! Don’t miss your chance to see Bernard return for another evening of side-splitting comedy!
