The Willie Clancy Summer School, is a major traditional Irish music, song and dance event held annually in Miltown Malbay, County Clare, Ireland with instrument and dance classes, lectures, workshops, recitals and céilithe throughout the week..

Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy is a week-long summer school of Irish traditional music, song and dance commencing on the first Saturday of July each year. It offers tuition in Uilleann Pipes, Whistle, Flute, Fiddle, Concertina, Button Accordion, Melodeon, Banjo, Harmonica and Harp and traditional set dancing and step dancing workshops, traditional singing workshops, and runs a week-long immersion course in the history of Irish traditional music. The instrumental and dancing workshops are offered at Beginners, Novice, Intermediate and Advanced Levels.

Practical workshops are complemented by lectures exploring aspects of the traditional music heritage; and concerts, recitals, ceilithe and informal sessions contribute a festival atmosphere to the event.

Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy has an international dimension with guest artists from the Irish diaspora in the UK and USA as well as performers from Canada and mainland Europe have regularly performed at the school. We have hosted artists from Cape Breton, Quebec, Wales, Scotland, Romania, Ukraine and Brittany. In 2025 we will feature performers and tutors from Quebec, Wales and England. The School has a network of partnerships which helps promote its objectives. Na Piobairi Uilleann, the Irish Traditional Music Archive, Harp Ireland, Concordia University (Montreal), UL, and the Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM) constitute this cultural network.

Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy, in association with RIAM and the DES, provides approved courses for primary school teachers who wish to introduce traditional music into the classroom and for music tutors who wish to enhance their tutor skills. To encourage students to come to Miltown Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy offer 24 tuition scholarships annually and, in collaboration with its partners, also offers an additional range of scholarships covering tuition and accommodation, amounting to 35 in total.
