Clareville House B&B

Tuamgraney, Co. Clare

Bed & Breakfasts

This 4-Star B&B is in the beautiful heritage village of Tuamgraney near Scariff and Killaloe, with pubs and restaurants nearby.

Clareville House, run by Teresa Browne, is a 4-Star Fáilte Ireland-approved B&B. It is centrally located in Tuamgraney, East Clare, near Scariff and Killaloe, and within walking distance of pubs and restaurants.

Known for their delicious breakfasts, staying at Clareville House is something special. Based in the middle of Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, they are beside the Lough Derg Blueway and just 40 minutes from Shannon International Airport.

The B&B caters for walking groups with free maps available and outdoor activities such as fishing, golf, boating, watersports, and cycling.

Teresa has a vast knowledge of this hidden part of Ireland and this is very useful when “Tracing Your Roots” or just enjoying a few stress-free days.

Tuamgraney is also home to St. Cronan’s 10th Century Church, the oldest church in continuous use in Ireland and the UK. St. Cronan founded a wooden built Monastery there in the 6th Century – the site is one of the most notable and important ecclesiastical and historical places in Ireland. It is the only preserved building with a recorded link to Brian Boru and visitors to the building enter through the same doorway as he did over 1,000 years ago!

Facilities:

  • All bedrooms with TV and tea/coffee making facilities
  • Guest lounge/library with multi-channel TV

Awards:

Teresa was awarded the title “Bean an Tí” (B&B Hostess of the Year) in 2012/13 by AA Ireland. The house has also received a Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor.
