Glencarrig is a farmhouse Bed and Breakfast just outside the village of Carrigaholt. It overlooks the scenic Shannon Estuary and is the perfect base for exploring the Loop Head Peninsula and discovering what makes this area such a gem on the Wild Atlantic Way.
With 3-star Irish Tourist Approval, it offers excellent hospitality and comfort. Mary, your host, is well known for her baking and cooking, and you will be welcomed on arrival with fresh baking. The B&B is famous for their breakfast and has a menu for all, with locally produced products to set you up for the day ahead.
Glencarrig has four well-sized ensuite rooms. Three of these are upstairs, two have a double and single bed, and one has a double bed. Downstairs there is a twin bedroom with two single beds. All the bedrooms have hairdryers and TVs. They also have fantastic views of the Shannon Estuary, Kilcredaun point and the Kerry Mountains. Waking up to such views never gets boring!
There is a guest lounge downstairs that opens onto the garden and patio, and it is a lovely place to sit on a good evening. There is also a games room with a full-sized pool table and tea and coffee-making facilities. Feel free to contact the B&B for special requests, extra beds, and prices for children staying in your room, and be sure to ask your hosts if you have any other requirements.
