Mount Cashel Lodge offers luxury self-catering accommodation in beautifully restored 18th Century lakeside lodges. They are in a 38-acre private landscaped estate with a private lake, riverside walk, and Victorian cottage garden to explore. Lake boating, kayaking and fishing are available on-site to complete this idyllic retreat.

This self-catering accommodation comprises of the Stables (four bedrooms, all ensuite, sleeps nine) and two two-bedroom lodges (two bathrooms, sleeps five people). It is an excellent location to tour the dramatic west coast of Ireland and visit attractions such as Bunratty Castle, Cragganowen, Ennis, Limerick, and the Burren. 

The Stables 

The Stables on the Mount Cashel estate were built in 1850 and renovated in the early 2000s. The Stables is self-catering and has been awarded a 4-star rating by Failte Ireland. The accommodation is entered via a private courtyard.

The entrance door leads to the dining room, which caters for nine people. The living room has a wood-burning stove, 4-piece suite, satellite TV and free broadband internet connection. The lodge has central oil-fired heating throughout. French doors open onto a private patio, lawn, and woods with views and direct access to Castle Lake. The Kitchen comes fully equipped with an oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board, telephone, microwave, and kitchenware.

The Stables has four bedrooms, all with ensuite shower and toilet facilities. Bedroom one has a double bed and an accessible toilet, bedroom two has a double bed, bedroom three has a double and single bed, and bedroom four has a double bed. Nine people or less can be accommodated, and a cot and high chair are also available.

Lodge 

Lodge on the Mount Cashel estate was built in 1850 as a coach house, renovated in the early 2000s, and converted into two self-catering lodges. The large double doors in the centre of the lodge were designed to allow horse-drawn carriages to pass through. The lodges are self-catering and have been awarded a 4-star rating by Failte Ireland. The accommodation is entered via a private courtyard.

The entrance hallway leads to the living/dining room, with a wood-burning stove, 3-piece suite, dining table, chairs, free satellite TV and broadband internet connection. The lodge has central oil-fired heating throughout. French doors open onto a private patio, lawn, and woods with views and direct access to Castle Lake. The Kitchen comes fully equipped with an oven and hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, iron, ironing board, telephone, microwave, and kitchenware.

Each of the superior lodges has two bedrooms upstairs. Five people can be comfortably accommodated, and a cot can also be provided. The main bedroom consists of a double queen-size bed and a single bed with beautiful views of the lake from the window, the twin bedroom has twin beds with an ensuite toilet, sink, and shower, and the main bathroom has a full bath, shower, toilet, and sink. All bedrooms have been furnished and decorated to a 4-star standard.
