The Lissycasey Cascades loop walk, by the stunning Abhain Sliabh cascades, is a beautiful nature and heritage trail in the heathered foothills of the Callen mountain range in Lissycasey.

This easy walking route is suitable for most abilities, with a climb of 35m to the highest point, and it takes an average of 46 minutes to complete. The trail is ideal for strolling and jogging. It is also child and dog friendly, with buggies and dogs permitted.

Lissycasey is on the main N68 Ennis-Kilrush road, approximately 17km from Ennis. The trailhead is located near the community garden area beside Lissycasey church, on the right-hand side as you approach from Ennis. Free roadside parking is available in the vicinity, and coach/car parking is available at the church.

Take the second turn from the trailhead onto a minor road leading up a hill towards the woodlands. Turn left onto the forest track where indicated and follow the red directional arrows to complete the loop. The route arrives at a three-fingered footbridge in the amenity area adjacent to the waterfalls on the river. From here, the walk returns to the village via the same tarred road used to gain access to the site.
