The long Grazing Acre at Common Knowledge

Paddy Keenan and The Long Grazing Acre, a presentation by Anna Legge in collaboration with Common Knowledge, takes place at the Common Knowledge Centre in Kilfenora from 10–12 July 2026.
The weekend celebrates the enormous contribution of Travellers to traditional Irish music, culture, and craft, with music, songs, talks, skillsharing, and demonstrations. Guests include the Barry family, William Dundon, Bianca Rohleder, Tom & Felix Doran, Steo Wall, Blackie O’Connell, Tommy Fegan, David Joyce, Terry & Mikey McInerney, and more.
The programme includes demonstrations of Traveller camping, bow tent making, and tin smithing, talks on Traveller pipers and the representation of Travellers in 19th century art, a celebration of Maggie Barry hosted alongside her grandchildren, an evening concert, and a session mór.
The weekend opens on Friday at 7pm with the premiere of Tommy Fegan’s radio documentary Paddy Keenan: A Piper’s Odyssey.
